Skyline Living was named Rental Housing Provider of the Year at the recent Canadian Federation of Apartment Associations (CFAA) Rental Housing Awards honouring achievement in rental housing throughout the previous year.
Skyline Living was recognized this year for its Refugee Assistance Program, which helps refugees find safe, affordable, and comfortable housing. The program was started in response to world events like the war in Ukraine. Since spring 2022, 238 refugees and their families have found housing through the program.
“We knew we had the ability to do something tangible and meaningful. As a provider of housing, we were able to provide immediate help to those who needed it,” said BJ Santavy, Vice President, Skyline Living.
“We not only forego charging any deposits, but we also put refugees through our R.I.S.E. application process to determine if they need additional financial support or services.” said BJ Santavy, Vice President, Skyline Living.
The Rental Housing Provider of the Year award recognizes a rental housing provider which has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the rental housing industry through an action, exceptional practice, or a dedicated initiative.
