Skyline Group of Companies is thrilled to announce that it has requalified as one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for the ninth year in a row.

Skyline has retained its Platinum Club status, which is the highest level of achievement within the program, awarded to companies who have kept their Best Managed status for seven or more consecutive years

Canada’s Best Managed Companies continues to be the mark of excellence for Canadian-owned and managed companies with revenues over $25 million. Every year since the launch of the program in 1993, hundreds of entrepreneurial companies have competed for this designation in a rigorous and independent process that evaluates their management skills and practices.

Contending companies are evaluated on their leadership in the areas of:

  • Strategy
  • Culture and commitment
  • Capabilities and innovation
  • Governance and financial performance

When selecting the 2023 list of Best Managed Companies, the judges took special consideration for companies that have a people-centric culture, target effective ESG strategies, and accelerate operational digitization.

“Being a Best Managed Companies Platinum Member affirms to all our stakeholders—our tenants, investors, trustees, suppliers, community partners, and staff—that Skyline is committed to all facets of operational excellence,” said Jason Castellan, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Skyline Group of Companies.

“We are proud to be recognized alongside many of Canada’s most well-known national brands and businesses. On behalf of Skyline Leadership, I thank all our Skyline employees for their efforts. It is truly their dedication that has put us on the Best Managed list for nine years running, and we hope to make it 10 and far beyond.”

“The 2023 Best Managed winners exemplify the highest Canadian business standards of innovation, adaptability, and resilience,” said Derrick Dempster, Partner, Deloitte Private, and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

“This year’s Best Managed winners, including Skyline, embrace a people-first mentality, enabling employees to cultivate important capabilities and integrating diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives into their core strategy,” added Lorrie King, Partner, Deloitte Private, and Co-Leader, Canada’s Best Managed Companies program.

“By prioritizing employee well-being and championing professional development, these companies are harnessing their talent pool’s fullest potential and in a stronger position to attract the talents needed to embrace the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.”

Applicants are evaluated by an independent judging panel comprised of representatives from program sponsors, in addition to special guest judges.
