Skyline’s 2024 Spring Hope Food Drive brought in a record number of donations for people across Canada who are facing food insecurity and hardship.
Skyline staff and residential tenants collected a grand total of 37,696.86lbs in donations for food banks in communities across Canada and contributed another $14,697.95 in monetary donations to Food Banks Canada.
Skyline matched this total with an additional $52,394.80 monetary donation to Food Banks Canada, leading to a grand total of 104,789.60 lbs (Skyline calculated $1 = 1 lb of food).
Held each year over two weeks in April, Skyline’s Spring Hope Food Drive collects food and essential items to help combat hunger and food insecurity across Canada. It is one of many social sustainability initiatives held throughout the year.
