In December 2021, Skyline launched a new charitable campaign with the aim of helping families across Canada who are experiencing homelessness and hunger this holiday season.
The campaign brought together all Skyline stakeholders: staff, investors, tenants, Trustees, business partners, and more, in an effort to raise enough funds to help 250 families.1
Season’s Givings was a success, with friends of Skyline raising a grand total of $32,712 (though we did not meet our goal, we were able to help 131 families) to be split among multple non-profit organizations who have family-oriented programs in communities across Canada: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Canada, YWCA Canada, and MCC.
Skyline extends a heartfelt thank-you to all individuals and companies who made a contribution to the campaign, as well as a thank-you to Givesome, the digital platform through which the campaign was facilitated.
Donations will go toward children and families who are struggling to maintain shelter, warmth, food, safety, and other needs during the holiday season that many of us take for granted.
In addition to the funds raised for Season’s Givings, Skyline made additional holiday donations to Sunbeam Community & Developmental Services, HOPE House Guelph, the Children’s Foundation of Guelph & Wellington, North End Harvest Market, and Royal City Mission, helping even more families at the time of year where it is needed most.
