On Friday, March 3rd, 2017, the Skyline Retail REIT purchased its first properties in the province of Quebec, with the acquisition of a 7-property portfolio anchored by Jean Coutu, a Quebec-based drugstore chain. The total purchase price for the portfolio was $35.25M, and the 7 properties total 149,324 square feet of retail space.
On Thursday, February 23rd, 2017, the Skyline Retail REIT made its first purchase in the city of London, ON. 1551-1553 Dundas Street in London was purchased for $14.45M and is comprised of 51,450 square feet of retail space.
On Thursday, November 24th, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT purchased its first retail property in the town of Strathroy, ON (just west of London, ON).
On Friday, September 30, 2016, Skyline Retail REIT purchased its third retail property in the city of Windsor, ON. The property at 500 Tecumseh Road East was purchased for $9.8 million and has 20,860 square feet of retail commercial space. Its tenant is Shoppers Drug Mart.

On September 7th, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT purchased at 21,820 square foot property in Hanmer (Sudbury), ON. The property at 5118 Highway 69 North is the second property Skyline Retail REIT owns in Sudbury, and has McDonald's and Shoppers Drug Mart as anchor tenants. The property was purchased for $8 million.
On June 2nd, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT acquired a multi-tenant retail plaza property at 515-653 Grand Avenue West in Chatham, ON. Purchased for $25M, the plaza consists of 177,366 square feet of retail space, and includes Canadian Tire, Scotiabank and SportChek as anchor tenants.
On Monday, April 4th, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT property at 4115 Walker Road, Windsor, ON welcomed a new anchor tenant: an Ikea pick-up and order point location.
On Wednesday, February 3rd, 2016, the Skyline Retail REIT acquired two new properties in two new Ontario communities.
On Thursday, December 10th, 2015, the Skyline Retail REIT entered its 34th community: the city of Sarnia, ON. The Retail REIT acquired a 21,802 square foot property at 1378-1386 Exmouth Street, with Best Buy and A&W serving as anchor tenants. The property was purchased for $5.52 million.
