[Guelph, ON – May 17, 2021]

Skyline staff and Skyline Living tenants across Canada came together to participate in Skyline’s annual Spring Hope Food Drive. The food drive aims to combat food insecurity across the country.

Over the course of two weeks in April 2021, Skyline Living staff, and tenants in Skyline Living apartment buildings, donated a total of 31,770 lbs of food and other essential items to food banks in dozens of communities. Additionally, Skyline Living made a $31,770 matching monetary donation to Food Banks Canada.

What’s more, Skyline office staff donated an additional 905 lbs of food and essential items, and donated an additional $4,025 to Food Banks Canada.

Skyline staff in Guelph, ON also donated more than 100 pairs of children’s and adult’s running shoes to families in need, in partnership with Lakeside Hope House.

The Spring Hope Food Drive is one example of how Skyline prioritizes social sustainability and charitable giving throughout the year. For more information about Skyline’s sustainability objectives for 2021, see Skyline’s 2021 Sustainability Plan.
