[Guelph, ON – February 20, 2021]

In February 2021, Skyline staff across Canada teamed up to raise funds to help Canadians experiencing homelessness, hurt, and hunger, as part of the annual Coldest Night of the Year initiative.

With funds raised by staff, and dollar-matching by Skyline, we raised a grand total of $52,868, and achieved the Top Two across Canada for corporate fundraising for this initiative, next to Starbucks Canada.

Staff were grouped into 29 teams across the country, from Kelowna, British Columbia, to Halifax, Nova Scotia. The teams fundraised leading up to the day of the event on February 20, 2020, where they bundled up for safe winter walks with friends and family, showing off bright blue and yellow “Coldest Night of the Year” toques to raise awareness for the event.

We thank our staff, as well as their friends and family who donated and participated, for their generosity and support.

In total, the 2021 Coldest Night of the Year campaign raised more than $9.7 million for charities across Canada, with more than 120,000 donations and more than 24,000 walkers.
