[Guelph, ON – April 27, 2022]
Skyline staff, as well as both residential and commercial-retail tenants, came together to participate in Skyline’s annual Spring Hope Food Drive to combat food insecurity in Canada.
In total, staff and tenants donated a record 41,560 lbs., comprised of food and essential items (dropped off to food banks in different communities) and monetary donations to Food Banks Canada’s After the Bell program (Skyline calculated $1 = 1 lb of food).
Skyline is matching this total with an additional $41,560 monetary donation to Food Banks Canada, for a grand total of 83,120 lbs. in donations.
Food Banks Canada’s Development Coordinator Hussein Harji sent the following video message to thank Skyline for its monetary donations.
Additionally, Skyline’s Legal team organized a shoe drive at Skyline’s Head Office, where staff donated 153 pairs of children’s and adult running shoes to families in need, in collaboration with HOPE House Guelph.
