Taha oversees all financial strategy and reporting across Skyline’s investment funds and business units. His responsibilities include corporate budgeting, cash flow planning, financial controls, audit compliance, and supporting capital transactions. He plays a key role in providing financial insight to Skyline’s executive leaders and Trustees, while aiming to enhance cross-fund collaboration and strengthen financial processes to enhance operational growth.
Taha joined Skyline in 2019 as an Accounting Manager, bringing with him a strong background in public accounting and assurance, specializing in real estate, construction, and non-profit sectors. He has built a progressive career within Skyline, serving as Divisional Controller, then Director, Finance, Skyline Living, before his appointment as Vice President, Finance.
Believing that strong relationships are the foundation for strong results, Taha balances technical proficiency with a people-first leadership approach. He is focused on building trust, fostering collaboration, and bridging the gap between numbers and business strategy. He aims to lead a finance function that is not only technically sound but also deeply aligned with each business unit’s strategic goals.
Taha holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo. He also holds Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant designations from CPA Ontario. He serves on the boards of several Guelph-based community organizations.
