[Guelph, ON – April 1, 2019]

On April 1, 2019, Skyline Commercial Management Inc., a division of the Skyline Group of Companies, welcomed The Salvation Army to their new location at 1077 10th Street West in Owen Sound.

The Skyline owned property is a larger space for The Salvation Army’s Thrift Store which provides gently used items at reasonable prices, that generate proceeds that are invested back into local community programs.

“We are very excited to expand our Owen Sound Thrift Store and continue to develop a relationship with Skyline,” comments Major David Kennedy, Pastor of The Salvation Army Owen Sound Community Church. “Throughout this relocation and expansion, Skyline has been extremely accommodating to our needs and have provided us with the support to create a space that is welcoming to our community.”

Gordon Driedger, President of Skyline Retail Asset Management Inc. and other Skyline staff were pleased to join in with members of the community and take part in the celebration for the official opening and ribbon cutting ceremony earlier today.

Skyline warmly welcomed their new tenant by presenting The Salvation Army with a donation of $5,000 which will go towards programming that will continue to improve and strengthen the community.

“We are very pleased to welcome Salvation Army into our Skyline Owen Sound property,” states Driedger. “We trust that success in this highly visible location will enable them to continue offering programs and services to the local community.”
