
Skyline Apartment REIT buys eighth Mascouche, Quebec property
On May 29, 2025, Skyline Apartment REIT purchased a 48-suite property in Mascouche, part of the Quartier 7 development.

Skyline Apartment REIT is further expanding its footprint in the city of Mascouche, Quebec, underscoring its commitment to investing in fast-growing secondary and tertiary Canadian communities with rising rental housing demands.
On May 29, 2025, the REIT purchased a residential property at 1449-1451 avenue de la Gare in Mascouche.
The property is part of Quartier 7, a larger, multi-building development at avenue de la Gare and rue Sicard in Mascouche. It comprises two four-storey residential buildings with 48 condo-style suites and 19,469 square feet of ground-floor retail space. With the purchase, Skyline Apartment REIT now owns eight properties with 657 suites in the city of Mascouche—all part of the Quartier 7 development.

Mascouche has seen a 9.6% increase in population growth from 2016-2021 according to census data, more than double the provincial average of 4.1% and surpassing the national average of 5.2%. It has also seen a 14% increase in median rent prices over the past year.
The Quartier 7 development is located in a residential area close to retail shopping, schools, and parks, and is also directly across from the Mascouche train station, providing residents convenient connectivity to the greater Montreal area. The property also offers an on-site fitness center, multi-purpose room, games area, heated outdoor pools, furnished outdoor spaces, and EV charging stations.
Post-acquisition, Skyline Apartment REIT comprises 237 properties in 53 communities in seven provinces across Canada, with a total of 21,166 residential suites.
