Skyline’s friends at the Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre were recently recognized by its local Chamber of Commerce for their many charitable and community-building initiatives throughout 2019.
The Cambridge Chamber of Commerce held its 20th annual Business Excellence Awards Gala on September 24th, 2020 (postponed from March 2020 due to COVID-19), honouring local businesses for their efforts in the previous year. This year’s Gala was virtual, with honourees accepting their awards and recording thank-you messages remotely.
The Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre was honoured to receive the 2019 Spirit of Cambridge award at the virtual gala. This award recognizes an outstanding effort and commitment to making Cambridge and/or Township of North Dumfries a better, more prosperous community through corporate leadership and social responsibility.
The Cambridge Hotel and Conference Centre has demonstrated exceptional leadership in the city of Cambridge through many community initiatives. The local non-profit and community organizations that have benefited from the Cambridge Hotel’s volunteerism, donation, and resources include :
- Haven House Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region
- Rotary Club of Cambridge (Preston-Hespeler)
- Argus Residence for Young People
- United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries
- The Cambridge Humane Society
- Cambridge Minor Hockey
- House of Friendship
