[Guelph, Ontario – May 25, 2026]

Construction is now underway for Rose Towers, a new purpose-built rental community at 241 Queen Street East in Brampton, Ontario. The development will deliver 1,290 rental suites to Brampton, helping address its housing demand while contributing to its long-term economic growth and intensification.

Rose Towers is a comprehensive apartment development that will consist of four high-rise buildings ranging from 26-30 storeys. Each building will feature ground-floor retail space and second-floor resident amenities.

Joint developers Skyline and Solmar Development Corp held a groundbreaking ceremony on May 25, 2026, to celebrate the construction kick-off. They were joined by Laura Smith, Parliamentary Assistant to the Honourable Rob Flack, Minister of Housing and Infrastructure, Ontario; and Brampton Mayor Patrick Brown, alongside project partners and stakeholders.

“Our government is cutting red tape and creating the conditions to speed up homebuilding across Ontario so projects like Rose Towers can get off the ground,” said Minister Flack. “Our measures to remove the HST on purpose-built rentals, simplify planning and approval tools and make the Ontario Building Code the single standard across the province is helping to get more homes built faster.”

“Projects like Rose Towers are critical to keeping pace with Brampton’s rapid growth,” said Mayor Brown. “Adding new rental housing along the Queen Street Corridor supports our long‑term planning priorities and adds much-needed rental homes in a key urban area in our city. We value the collaboration with Skyline, Solmar, and all partners in moving this important project forward.”

At the groundbreaking ceremony, Skyline Co-Founder & CEO Jason Castellan spoke to how the development highlights confidence in Brampton’s future and reflects Skyline’s commitment to providing new rental supply in communities where it is needed most. Solmar CEO Blake Lyon remarked how the partners are creating a development that responds to real housing needs while enhancing the surrounding community.

Rose Towers will feature luxurious, open-concept suites with high-quality finishes designed for modern renters. Residents will have access to an array of indoor and outdoor common amenity spaces, including fitness centres, lounges, barbeque areas, pet wash stations, and three levels of underground parking.

The development is located within Brampton’s Queen Street Corridor, identified as one of Ontario’s Urban Growth Centres, and is less than two kilometres from Highway 410.  It offers convenient access to transit, retail, dining, and recreational activities.

Skyline is expanding its rental developments across Ontario, with more than 600 apartments completed, 1,350 currently under construction, and over 3,000 additional suites in the development pipeline across five additional communities.
